Coyote Creek Outfitters
Welcomes You!
The Routt National
Forest of North Park is famous for its many recreational opportunities,
particularly hunting and fishing. At the top of the list has always
been Elk, Mule Deer, Moose and Black Bear hunting.
Base camp,
is a private cabin with all the modern amenities, just a short horse
ride from the forest where we conduct our hunts. This area is approximately
28 to 30 square miles in size. Our base camp is 25 miles southwest
of Walden in game management unit 17, elevation at camp is 8,722
ft. Elevations vary from base camp to 11,500 ft. The terrain is
moderately rugged; steep mountains, huge aspen forests, lots of
black timber, with many open parks and meadows, where the game likes
to feed in early morning and evening.
Most of our
travel in the hunting area is on horse. While stalking in heavy
or dark timber is mostly on foot. We work really hard to get close
shots, especially for our bow hunters.
Since we live
in the hunting area all year long we have a great deal of knowledge
about existing hunting conditions, that tend to make the animals
move from one area to another.
The first time
you experience hunting Elk, Mule Deer, or Moose on horseback with
us, you will want to return every year. We will field dress, quarter
and pack your game to base camp and all you need to do is have your
camera ready!

us TODAY and book the hunt of your lifetime!
